IRD Facility -
Interceptor Research and Development Facility, Death Valley, CA.

This text file is leveraged from the HTML file that is located in
the IRDHTML.ZIP inside the IRD.ZIP. We strongly suggest you
view the HTML files we included with this map to make things easier
on YOU. (PKunzip IRDHTML.ZIP)

When unzipping this map, be sure to do it in a new directory so you
can eliminate the residual files from the unzip after you have gone
through them. ALL files zipped in this pack start with the char
"i" so you won't have to go looking everyhwere for them...

This map is a touch of Vigilante Paradise, a dab of Hope Springs,
a sprinkle of Salt Flats, and a little Woofie Den too. We took
some of the best elements from each. Good jumps, good regen chases,
good dueling, and funky terrain. It's a fairly large map, but a
topographical image is included in the ZIP file so just print it out,
it helps to get your bearings the first few times your driving through
IRD in Death Valley... And if you don't turn object detail on high....
Well, just turn it ON.

OTHER NEWS: The next scheduled Team Intercept map is lovingly entitled,
"SuiSoccer" named after a day I was rammed to death. The project
is spearheaded by INT Elwen and it is awesome! This map will be
released in conjunction with I76 Soccer rules, and a multi-group
sponsored I-76 Soccer challenge! Until then, guard the base, and
have fun!!!

Scenario Outline
Background Info: IRD Facility Is an all purpose map, however, a scenario has been designed to further
enhance your gameplay experience. Below is the scenario outline, victory conditions, an topographical (mostly)
accurate representation of the playing field, and other useful information. Any problems with the map or
defects? Please click here. Any other comments feel free to send here. To visit the Team Intercept Homepage,

The gravel voice raked along as he went through the slides in the smoke-filled briefing room...
"So, gentlemen, we are prepared to pay all 3 of you $10,000 dollars each upon completion of the mission.
It's quite simple really. Meet at the Gas4Cash, check your weapons, ang get it over with. This will be a dawn
raid, for minimum resistance, and hopefully, some element of suprise. After you successfully complete the
mission, don't linger around the base, as we're sure a whole mess of INT armor will come running once they
see the plumes of smoke covering their once mighty home. Remember gentlemen, if you want your money,
you will have to come back alive. In the folder's you have each been given is a list of primary targets,
geographical points of intrest, and of course, a recon photo of the area. A word of warning- we haven't been
able to make a fly-by ever since they installed a Dr. Radar on one of their vehicles. So the intel might be a
little out of date."

Rules of Play: A strike team consisting of 3 division 10 cars has taken the mercenary job of destroying the
IRD Facility in Death Valley. Fortunately, all is not lost. 2 division 15 IRD guards are present in the area! The
game begins when both sides declare they are ready to begin the battle. Victory is point based, and the side
with the highest total wins the game. Attacker vehicles are fair game before and after their initial successfull (or
unsuccessfull) attack until they reach their rendezvous point, a small complex over the western hills which has
the ability to regen vehicles. Once they hit this regen, they are "safe" from defender retaliation and are
considered out of gameplay. Note that use of regens for regenning purposes is not recommended for this
scenario as it would ruin the simulation. (So don't use the other regens for ANYTHING!) Each car has one life.
Once that player is killed, he/she may NOT interfere with the scenario, and they are effectively "dead as a
doornail", hope you have as much fun playing this one up as we do!
